Prophet Muhammad said, “Kindness is a mark of faith, and whoever is not kind has no faith.” (Narrated by Muslim.)

Kindness by definition is the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate. There are so many ways to show kindness to people around us. The 5 ways in which I have applied this beautiful element in the last 24 hours.

  1. Tweet a Compliment to three random people.

I have replied with compliments to three people on twitter. This will give them the courage to do their work in a more definite way.

2. Don’t Write the Angry Internet Comment You are Thinking of Writing

I went through some posts on social media which were full of hatred, violence, and ill mindedness. I think this is also a way of kindness to those people who are doing it without any conscience of their own.

3. Put Your Phone Away

I put my phone away today for about three hours. I spent this time with my family, did some work, and really enjoyed it.

4. Smile at Someone on the Street, Just Because

I tried this way of kindness by giving a smile to people who deserve it. An old man comes every day in a mosque near my house. He is so generous and kind. Today I decided to connect with him. So, I gave him a chair to sit and a smile to get his dua.

5. Forgive someone, and Never Bring Up the Issue Again

Every day, when I go out for shopping or grocery, I always become angry with the traffic violations everywhere around me. Today, an incident happened to me. A person was coming on the wrong side and using a mobile phone while riding his bike. He did not see me coming and the accident happened. I was angry for first few moments but then I calm down and forgive him as he had two children with him also.
